Clarification and apology: Yvonne Walsh

On November 2 we published a report of a High Court case entitled 'Anglo debtor must give up property' in which Anglo Irish Bank sought an order for possession of a property owned by Justin Malone. For technical legal reasons relating to the title to the property, the bank also named Ms Yvonne Walsh as a defendant in the proceedings.

We wish to clarify that Ms Walsh never had any loan agreement with Anglo Irish Bank and she does not have, nor ever did owe, any debt whatsoever to Anglo Irish Bank.

We apologise to Ms Walsh for any suggestion that she was being sued on foot of a loan agreement. We are happy to clarify the situation.
