City screening proves a great success
THOUSANDS of fans will line Dublin's financial district tonight to watch the Boys in Green battle the Spanish.
A free outdoor screening of Ireland's second group match against Spain in the Euro 2012 championships has proved extremely popular with more than 4,000 fans applying for tickets for the event.
Mobile phone operator Three is hosting the screening in Dublin's George's Dock so fans can watch the championships on a big screen.
Registration for the event has now closed and organisers have warned that only fans with tickets will be allowed access to the screening.
The first 'Three on the Quay' event last Sunday was attended by more than 4,000 football fans cheering the lads on. Due to the huge demand additional security and crowd control measures have been introduced for the next two games.
