Cinderella brings touch of magic to Temple Street Stephanie McKeon as Cinderella, from the Gaiety Panto 'Cinderella', meets Laura Doyle (5).

THE Gaiety panto stars

brought a splash of colour to Temple Street as they visited the children's hospital in full costume.

Cinderella (Stephanie McKeon), Prince Charming (David Flynn) and the Fairy Godmother (Sharon Sexton) got a warm welcome after they skipped straight to the renal unit after rehearsals at the theatre.

Five-year-old Laura Doyle, from Co Longford, was one of the lucky children to meet the characters. Laura underwent a kidney transplant two weeks ago. Her family hope she'll be home for Christmas.

But the family of three-year-old Kyla Friel said the holiday could be spent in the unit.

"We're staying in the hospital at the minute, taking each day as it comes," said Mr Friel.

'Cinderella' will open at the Gaiety next Wednesday, December 5.
