Irish Christmasphiles don't park their yuletide passions - even when the sun is shining in August.
This week last year, Brown Thomas sold 3,000 units of Christmas decorations within the first three days of opening their Christmas Market.
And this year's Christmas Market opened yesterday in Brown Thomas stores in Dublin, Cork and Limerick - showcasing trees, decorations, stocking fillers, even puddings.
"The main decorating trend this Christmas is 'Winter Palace' in whites and silvers with accents of rose gold, soft pinks and shades of mint," according to Edel Woods, seasonal homewares buyer at the department store.
The decorations are divided into various themes - this year's include 'Venetian chic', 'winter palace', 'Yuletide', 'Nutcracker suite' as well as 'novelty and collectables'.
'Venetian chic' is inspired by the elegance and romance of Venetian masked balls.
