A Finglas-based pregnant woman scooped €500,000 in the Euromillions draw this week – her second fortunate win in the last few years.

The woman, who prefers to remain anonymous, believes her “positive outlook on life has attracted the luck” as she collected her substantial cheque at the National Lottery office today.

“I checked my emails yesterday and there was one from the Lottery to say there was exciting news about my ticket,” she said.

“I thought I’d won €20, so when I logged into my account, I was so surprised!”

Originally from Lithuania but residing in Dublin for a decade, the woman said the win on her €3 Quick Pick ticket has made “all her stress disappear”.

“It is my last year in college, and with a new baby on the way, it feels very calming to not have financial worries,” she gushed.

“I plan to buy my first home.  At last I feel happy and settled.”

Two years ago, the mother-to-be took home €2,000 from the EuroMillions draw – but this week’s win will no doubt be a complete life-changer.

The happy news might inspire more to enter the EuroMillions Super Draw tomorrow night which promises an attractive the jackpot of €100 million.
