Chief suspect in murder of Lorcan O'Reilly arrested

THE chief suspect - a teenager - for the brutal Halloween murder of a 21-year-old man last year has been arrested.

The youth, who has close links to gangster 'Fat' Freddie Thompson, is being questioned in relation to the stabbing of Lorcan O'Reilly in the Oliver Bond flats complex in Dublin.

Mr O'Reilly was stabbed to death at the at 2.45am on November 1 when he tried to break up a fight.

Detectives arrested a 15-year-old boy this morning.

He is being detained at Kevin Street Garda Station.
