Cheers turn to tears
IT was to be the trip of a lifetime. But a team of young Irish cheerleaders were left in tears yesterday after the continuing disruption to flights wrecked their last chance of making history.
The 32-strong team, ranging in age from nine to 27, had been looking forward to representing Ireland at the World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, having trained for 12 months.
They were to be the first team ever to represent Ireland at the World Championships.
