Olympic silver medallist Sonia O'Sullivan is encouraging everyone to support tomorrow's Spar Great Ireland Run in Dublin's Phoenix Park.

The event, in its ninth year, raises funds for leukaemia and lymphoma research, and will attract a crowd of 10,000 runners.

Sonia's not racing as she is commentating on RTE. She is also the starter for the Great Junior 2.5km Race (at 11.15am) for runners aged from eight to 15, with nominated charity the Jack and Jill Foundation.

The 10km race attracts many of Europe's top runners, but most will be running for fun. Celebrities doing their bit include TV Dragon Sean Gallagher, TV3 fashionista Lisa Fitzpatrick and ex-Leinster rugby star Shane Byrne.

Access to Phoenix Park will continue during the race, but diversions will apply from early morning.
