Changes since Kelly took office

March 2011: Newly elected TD Alan Kelly appointed Minister of State at the Department of Transport with responsibility for public transport and commuting.
June: Iarnrod Eireann announces new timetables for all services travelling into Heuston Station, including those from Nenagh.
September: Mr Kelly 'encourages' the rail company to provide a train for Tipperary fans to travel to All-Ireland final.
December: Budget results in cuts to Iarnrod Eireann subvention.
January 2012: Iarnrod Eireann fare increases take effect.
February 9: Iarnrod Eireann seeks permission from the National Transport Authority to run extra services from Limerick to Dublin, via Nenagh.
February 17: NTA receives and approves the changes.
March 5: New services to/from Nenagh begin.
