Cat amongst the pigeons as the Premier invades

A TIPPERARY woman has taken over Sheff's pub in Kilkenny just in time for the All-Ireland final.

Nenagh native Kathleen Turner and her cousin, Daniel Clifford, are now running the pub, which is owned by Kilkenny hurler Kevin Fennelly.

The bar is in Ballyhale -- the hometown of star hurler Henry Shefflin -- and was previously owned by the Shefflin family.

Kathleen will be shouting for Tipp on Sunday but she will be careful not to offend the locals.

"I've been coming into this bar for the last two years. I'm dating a Kilkenny man (Martin O'Neill). I love this bar, we've got lots of Kilkenny hurling memorabilia and it'll stay up. I'd never take it down. If I'm not shouting for my own county, I'm shouting for Kilkenny."
