GARDAI are appealing for witnesses to a dramatic cash-in-transit robbery outside a supermarket.
Armed raiders made off with a cash box after two men, armed with an iron bar and an imitation gun, threatened a cash-in-transit employee outside the Lidl supermarket on Blakestown Way, Blakestown, Blanchardstown, Co Dublin.
The incident unfolded shortly before 8am yesterday as the store was about to open. The employee wasn't injured.
A Lidl spokesperson declined to comment.
Gardai are urging anyone with information to contact them at Blanchardstown garda station on 01 666 7000 or the garda confidential line on 1800 555 111.
