'Carmaggedon' as weather and M50 closure causes traffic chaos in capital

The 'Carmageddon' tweets have begun as Irish drivers take to social media to complain about the backlog.
The M50 closure and the bad weather have resulted in some of the worst traffic "since 2007", according to irate Twitter users.
Some users made light of the situation with one joking: "Listening to 'Fast Car' for the irony as traffic hasn't moved for the last 10 minutes" while other, more irate users blamed the weather, tweeting "don't know what it is with traffic and a bit of soft rain".
One user thanked her bus driver for keeping his passengers relaxed with his happy outlook. "(Fist Bump) to this morning's bus driver for taking alternative route to avoid crazy traffic this morn. With added chirpiness".
Another summed up the situation, writing "it's officially carmaggedon out there!"
