A series of 20 new on-street map panels were unveiled in Dublin yesterday as part of the city council's deal with advertising giant JC Decaux.
It is the final element of the contract which saw the company fund the 'dublinbikes' scheme in return for free promotional billboards.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Andrew Montague said the new panels would be useful for locals and tourists alike.
"They tell you where to find the nearest Luas or dublinbikes stop, how to get to a gallery, museum, train station or park," he said.
