Cannabis worth €750,000 seized in garda operation

A MAN has been arrested after a premises was searched by gardai last night and cannabis plans with an estimated street value of €750,000 were seized.

The search took place as part of an on-going investigation into the cultivation and sale of cannabis in the Kilkenny area, Gardai said.

 

"A premises was searched in the Glenbally Valley area of South Kilkenny and during the search, a male in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Thomastown Garda Station under Section 2 – Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996," a spokesman said.
