Cannabis plants and herb discovered during Garda seizure
Gardai have discovered a large amount of cannabis plants at a house as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Clare area.
Two men, one in his thirties and one in his forties, were arrested at the house in Ballymaley, Ennis, Co Clare following the search on Monday afternoon.
Gardai seized 118 cannabis plants and a quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated value of €98,000 during the seizure.
One of the men was later released and a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The second man was charged and is due to appear before Kilrush District Court this afternoon.
