MEMBERS of the Japanese community in Ireland joined together during a special ceremony to commemorate the one-month anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Japan.
A service involving music and poetry was held at St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin last night to remember all of those who died during the disaster.
About 80 Irish and Japanese people, many of them families, gathered for the candle-lighting ceremony which included three minutes of silence.
The hour-long event was organised by Dublin City Council, the embassy of Japan, University College Dublin and Dublin City University.
