Candidate won't fast-track accounts for voters

SEAN Gallagher has no plans to fast-track his company accounts to allow voters to see how his firm performed last year.

The 2010 accounts for Smart Homes and Beach House Training and Consulting are due to be filed after the election.

A spokesman for Smart Homes said yesterday the accounts "will be filed by November 25".

Mr Gallagher stood down as director from all his companies last year.

He carries out his motivational speaking through another company, Beach House Training and Consulting. It appears to be his main source of income. His wife Trish is a director.

It is possible the accounts for both firms have not yet been finalised. In previous years Mr Gallagher has signed off these accounts well ahead of the deadline.

Mr Gallagher has said that questions about an interest free €82,829 loan he took from Beach House in 2009 will be answered in the 2010 accounts.

He breached company law by taking such a large amount out. Mr Gallagher has said he subsequently repaid it.
