Lives could be saved by a new iPhone app that displays the crucial signs of a disease that can kill within hours.
Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) has launched a free application that lists the symptoms of the infection. "This app ensures people have vital life-saving information directly at their fingertips," said MRF Ireland manager Diane McConnell.
Peter Moorhead, whose five-year-old daughter Ellie almost died when she contracted septicaemia -- the blood poisoning form of meningitis -- said everyone should download it.
See www.meningitis.org or call MRF's 24-hour helpline on 1800 413344.
