Cadbury gives two fingers to Irish chocolate fans

Irish chocolate lovers feel like they’ve been given the two fingers by Cadbury after the famous pink Snack bar has been reduced in size.

The wafer based chocolate treat has been reduced by one finger to just two.

One of the unique characteristics of the bar was that it contained three pieces.

Chocolate fans have vented their frustration on the Cadbury Facebook page.

One regular purchaser of the bar said: “Cadbury's what's the story with the Pink Snack wafer bar two fingers now instead of three! Got a cup of tea in work went for the usual Pink Snack and it's downsized. It’s bad enough that the 3rd left you wanting more but two is not enough for a cup of tea. I refuse to buy the two finger Pink Snack now.”

The company responded to the complaint saying the decision had been taken for financial reasons.

“We understand that you are disappointed. We had to take this decision owing to a range of financial factors, such as commodity pricing and rising costs. We have lowered the price to reflect the change and ensure Pink Snack remains a great value, affordable treat.”

The price of the bar has been reduced in line with its new size but Snack fans remain unsatisfied.
