By Georgia, Noonan cracks cheesy joke
Michael Noonan claimed that apart from holidaying in the Greek islands, most Irish people don't have a lot of connections with Greece and wouldn't miss them if they were kicked out of the euro.
"If you go into the shops here, apart from feta cheese, how many Greek items do you put in your basket?"
The Finance Minister's claim that Greece doesn't export a whole lot to this country failed to mention Ireland's finest model, who is of Greek extraction. Never mind feta, where would we be without Georgia Salpa?
