Josie Walsh's family was left devastated after thieves targeted their home while they were in Dublin at his cremation service.

The garage owner who ran Crescent Garage, on Alphonsus Street in Limerick, died on March 4, aged 84.

Mr Walsh's family travelled to Dublin after his funeral mass in Limerick for his cremation at St Jerome Crematorium.

On their return home to O'Connell Avenue in Limerick, Mr Walsh's widow Geraldine, daughter Rose (26) and son Adam were met with a scene of "complete destruction". "To think that someone would do this after our father died, it is disgraceful," said Rose.
