A student who died suddenly last weekend was "full of dreams", her heartbroken parents said.

Denisse Kyle Dasco (20) was a healthy, sporty woman who showed no signs of being unwell before she collapsed in Cork last Friday. Attempts were made to revive her and she was rushed to Mercy University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Ms Dasco was originally from Raheen, Co Limerick, and was studying Forensic Science in UCC. She is survived by her parents Mary and Carlos, sister Deborah and brother Carl.

Her parents said: "She was always so bubbly, outgoing, entertaining, friendly, energetic, sports-minded and positive. She was full of dreams."

Members of the I Love Limerick photography project - which her father is a part of - also spoke about their loss. Close family friend Richard Lynch said: "She was filled with light and love. It's heartbreaking."
