MINSITER Richard Bruton is to travel to Carrick on Shannon to meet staff and management at MBNA., the credit card company which is quitting the Co. Leitrim town.
It follows an announcement earlier this month by owner, Bank of America, to withdraw from both Ireland and the UK.
MBNA is a major employer in the town, with 800 people working at the facility.
On his visit Minister Bruton is also due to meet the local Chamber of Commerce and the IDA to discuss new possible buyers of the plant.
