Bruton singles out Ross for his 'juvenile' treaty stance
It must be the day for put-downs -- with former Taoiseach John Bruton singling out Shane Ross for attention during a speech in Sutton in Dublin.
He accused the Independent TD -- who recently joined the No side after much procrastination -- of being too clever by half. He said that there was no point hoping to win concessions from the EU by rejecting the treaty -- and that the state might miss out from any new measures adopted to help struggling Spanish banks.
"I believe the situation facing the euro is now far too serious for playing juvenile games," Mr Bruton said.
