TWO men have pleaded not guilty to stealing a laptop and a phone belonging to a daughter of former billionaire Sean Quinn.

Keith Kinlan (36) and his brother Gary (35), Summerhill Place, Dublin, were charged in August and made a second appearance at Dublin District Court yesterday.

Both men have been accused of stealing a bag containing a HP laptop and an iPhone 3GS, property of Aoife Quinn, at Loftus Lane, Dublin, on July 28.

Judge Bryan Smyth read out the charges to the pair and each opted for a non-jury trial in the district court. They indicated that they understood the charges and they then entered 'not guilty' pleas.

Judge Smyth noted that "nothing untoward" was in-volved in the case of an alleged theft of Ms Quinn's laptop case and its contents from a car. The pair have entered 'not guilty' pleas to other charges.

Keith Kinlan denies possessing stolen property, consisting of an Irish passport in the name of Hamish Adams and a New Zealand passport in the same name, at Isaac's Hostel, Dublin, on August 15.

Both men have also denied stealing a laptop and two DVDs from a woman named Amy Quirke.

Judge Smyth remanded the pair on continuing bail to appear again for their district court trial on November 12.
