The brother of missing 19-year-old student Tiernán Archer has appealed for help in the search for him.

Tiernán has been missing since 9am yesterday when his father dropped him off at Galway Technical Institute.

Tiernan’s brother Breffni said: “He was not realised missing until 5pm today when a teacher mentioned to my father that he was not in class today.”

“His camera bag was recently found in south park, which is a valued possession of his that he would not misplace.”

“He usually wears thick framed glasses, and has a bit more facial shadow around his face since this photo,” Breffni explained.

Anyone who has information can contact Galway’s Mill Street Garda Station on 091 538 000.
