Brendan O'Carroll buys turkey dinner for SVP families
ACTOR Brendan O'Carroll is putting his fame to good use this Christmas by helping those less fortunate in his hometown.
More than 1,500 families in the Dublin area will enjoy a full turkey and ham dinner on December 25 courtesy of Mrs Brown, as the BAFTA award-winning comedian has decided to donate a substantial number of vouchers for festive food to the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP).
This is not the first time O'Carroll has shown his charitable side.
Last July the TV star hosted his 'Mrs Brown's Golf Classic' in order to raise funds for Charity 25, lining up celebrity friends including Ronnie Whelan, Ronan Keating and Keith Duffy to take part for the worthy cause.
