Brave Paul's Christmas wish comes true
One little boy's wish to spend Christmas at home has been granted despite recent transplant surgery.
Paul O'Sullivan (9) arrived at his home in Killarney, Co Kerry, last night to spend today and Christmas Day with his parents Theresa and Tony and his sister Kelly Ann (7).
On St Stephen's Day he will return to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin where he underwent a kidney transplant just three weeks ago.
"It's the best thing that could have happened for Christmas," Paul's mother, Theresa told the Irish Independent.
Although Paul is doing well after surgery, he will have to spend a further three months in hospital recovering .
He was born with poorly developed kidneys and only had 20pc kidney function before the operation.
