Boys attacked going to school

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses after two boys were attacked on their way to secondary school.

The youngsters were set upon by two men driving a silver caddy van in Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, on Tuesday morning.

Locals expressed shock at the incident, which happened as the teenagers walked to school just before 9am.

The boys were brought to Tallaght Hospital where they were treated for their injuries. It's understood they were not seriously harmed but suffered bruising in the attack.
