Boy critically ill after shooting

A 14-year-old boy was shot at a house in the Clondalkin area of Dublin

A 14-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot.

The shooting took place at a house in the Clondalkin area of Dublin at about 10.15pm.

Gardai said the boy was at the home in the Woodford area when he was injured.

The teenager was taken to Tallaght hospital where his condition was described as critical.

Gardai later said officers in Clondalkin are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the shooting, however it is understood it is not being treated as foul play.
