A two-year-old child has been airlifted to a hospital in Dublin after suffering severe head injuries in a fall in Wexford.
Emergency services responded to a call out last night after the young boy was brought to University Hospital Waterford, having fallen from the second floor of a building.
However the child’s injuries were deemed so serious that he had to be airlifted to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
A Coastguard helicopter transported the child from Waterford at 12.01am this morning, arriving in Dublin at 2.45am.
It has not yet been established how the child managed to fall from the building, and he is still currently being treated at Temple Street.
