Bomb victim is conscious
A PSNI officer who was severely injured by a bomb underneath his car has regained consciousness.
Peadar Heffron (33) had his leg amputated following the attack on January 8. He also received extensive injuries to his lower body.
The PSNI said yesterday that his current condition was "critical but stable".
Constable Heffron, a fluent Irish-speaker who was captain of the PSNI's Gaelic football team at the time of the attack, had been in a coma since the bombing.
