Boil notice may be in place for months
A WEST of Ireland town is gritting its teeth as it faces another eight months of having to boil water because the tap supply is contaminated.
Anger has been building among residents in Boyle, Co Roscommon, since May after cryptosporidium was found in the water supply.
Now Roscommon County Council has confirmed it could be next spring before the precautionary notice is lifted. Director of services Majella Hunt said the notice may not be lifted for a further eight months.
