Body of woman taken from flooded basement

THE body of a woman has been retrieved from the basement of a house in Crumlin, Dublin.

Emergency services responding to a call from concerned neighbours last night, went to the flooded basement on Parnell Road at 11 pm.



A preliminary search was carried out by the Garda underwater unit with negative results.



However early this morning the body of a woman was discovered after water was pumped from the basement by Dublin Fire Brigade.
