Body found in Limerick identified as missing Chloe (15)
THE body of missing schoolgirl Chloe Kinsella has been recovered from the River Shannon in Limerick City.
The 15-year old from Kenyon Avenue, Kileely, had been missing for six days.
A major search involving hundreds of volunteers, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, and the Shannon-based Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter, has now ended.
Divers attached to Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service recovered the teenager's remains at Brown's Quay, Thomondgate/Kileely shortly before midday.
Chloe's sister Linsey (23), positively identified the remains at the scene where a large crowd had gathered.
The body has been removed from the scene to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem.
A press briefing is to be held at Kileely Community Centre at 2pm.
