WORLD champion street-bike rider Mattie Griffin showed off his skills at Smithfield Square, Dublin, yesterday where he also launched a new weatherproof and safety clothing system for bike enthusiasts.
ZUP, developed by Irish bikers Doreen Connaughton and Frank Mullen, is a zip-and-velcro system that allows bike lovers to connect their top and bottom gear at the waist. This turns their leathers into a suit which gives greater protection from the elements and overall body coverage.
Galway-born Mr Griffin, pictured on his BMW F800R, is most famous for his stunt performances at the Isle of Man TT festival.
