One Aer Lingus customer’s ‘thank you’ note to Aer Lingus for their ‘utmost professionalism’ in helping the families of the Berkeley victims has gone viral.

Dubliner Jonathan Wallace posted his ‘thank you’ letter on Aer Lingus’ Facebook page yesterday, and the post has been shared by almost 5,000 people online.

Mr Wallace wrote to the airline after he heard of its “compassion, care, sympathy and utmost professionalism, yet again” in how they helped the families travel to Berkeley in the aftermath of the tragedy.

“You've been helping fly the families of those poor kids in Berkeley, California out to the States. I have heard of two wonderful stories already today, about what you've done for the grieving families. I cannot speak highly enough of you.”

Aer Lingus replied: “Hi Jonathan, thanks for your kind words. We're glad to be of some assistance and our thoughts continue to be with the families affected.”

Around 170 people have commented underneath Jonathan’s posting, sharing their praise for the airline as well.
