'Beautiful child' Oliver Scullion (4) killed in freak accident at family's brewery laid to rest

The funeral service for Oliver Scullion, the little boy killed in an accident at his family's brewery, has taken place.

Four-year-old Oliver died in an incident involving a holding tank at the Hilden Brewery, Lisburn last Thursday.

His funeral took place in Belfast this afternoon.

He was the much-loved and adored son of brewery manager and owners Owen and Jenny and big brother to Maia and Patrick.

His father was also injured in the accident.

Oliver was the grandson of Seamus and Ann Scullion, who set up the Hilden Brewery operation in 1981.

Following the tragedy, the Scullion family said they were "deeply upset by the death".

His grandfather said: "Oliver was a beautiful child, full of life and enthusiasm for everything he did.

"It is difficult to come to terms with life without him. We will miss him more than words can express."

On Tuesday, family members and mourners gathered at McCracken Memorial Presbyterian Church on Belfast's Malone Road for a service to remember the life of little Oliver.

The family requested family flowers only and any donations, in lieu of flowers, to be sent to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
