Beaumont Hospital closes wards as vomiting bug spreads

AN outbreak of the norovirus winter vomiting bug has closed beds and wards at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
The hospital on Dublin’s north side has closed 28 beds. Ten patients have been confirmed with the bug over the past 24 hours, and the hospital says 26 patients are currently showing symptoms.
Visiting is restricted in the hospital and no children are being allowed to visit .
