Hi °C | Lo °C THOUSANDS of bankers are expected to apply for a new course to teach them how to unblock the arrears logjam.
The Institute of Bankers in Ireland has linked up with UCD to offer a three-month primer in arrears management.
The module can be taken as part of a degree-type banker qualification.
David Hall, of the Irish Mortgage Holders' Organisation, was dismissive of the course. "Some 180,000 people are in trouble with their mortgages and they wait until now to put on an online course."
