A BAG believed to contain human remains has been found by gardai searching for a missing Romanian woman.
The discovery was made during a dig on land in the Manor Kilbride area of the Wicklow mountains, near the Sally gap.
Marioara Rostas, 19, from the Roma community, who was presumed kidnapped and murdered, was last seen begging at traffic lights in Dublin city centre in January 2010.
A Garda spokesman said it is too early to confirm whether the remains are human.
It is understood the bag is still at the scene as forensic officers prepare to carryout more detailed technical examinations of the site.
The search, next to Coillte-owned land and close to the Kippure estate in Wicklow, began on January 11 following a tip-off.
