An artist has appealed for help in the search for his hardback sketchbook which he says contains a year’s work.
Charlie Meehan says he took a taxi in Dublin city at midnight on Friday, and he believes he left his haversack in the car afterwards.
The haversack contained his gloves, umbrella, and earphones, but he says he is “most concerned about the sketchbook”.
“It contains a small (4ins by 3 ins) black hardcovered sketchbook of drawings I’ve been working on for about a year (name and mobile on the inside front cover),” the artist wrote on Facebook.
Charlie, who can be contacted at Gallery Zozimus in Dublin, is looking for the taxi driver from Crumlin who brought him across town on Friday night.
“I remember the taxi man was a thin, tall guy with longish grey hair and glasses.”
“I would really like to get the sketch book back as I put a lot of work into it.”
“I’d be grateful if anyone can help,” Charlie said on Facebook.
