Armed gang make off with €120,000 after raid in Dublin

ARMED raiders made off with €120,000 after they held up two cash-in-transit employees delivering money to an ATM at Donaghmede Shopping Centre in Dublin today.

The men were approached by two culprits, one of whom was brandishing a firearm at 10.15am.

The raiders, wearing balaclavas, made off with an undisclosed amount of money in a black 07 C 4x4 vehicle in the direction of Clare Hall, Coolock.

Gardai in Coolock are investigating the crime and have asked that anybody who may have seen suspicious activity around the shopping centre before the robbery to contact them at 01 666 4200.
