Ardmore children Neasa Keevers (7), Tony Quirke (3) and Rachel Flavin (8) were on hand yesterday to launch the programme for the fifth annual festival, which runs from July 18 to 24. Chairperson John Supple said the varied programme aims to provide "time-honoured fun and games" in the village.

Among the musicians booked to perform are Tommy Fleming and the Kilfenora Ceili Band, while other events include a "bat-watching expedition" led by expert Peter O'Connor and an evening with novelist Cathy Kelly.

The festival kicks off next Monday, July 18, with renowned GAA commentator Michael O Muircheartaigh in the community hall.
