Apprentice celebrity Breffny Morgan is just one of the many thousands who will throng Limerick Racecourse next weekend for the biggest event on the calendar -- the Limerick Show. Morgan will be launching a new milk-vending machine for the innovative Adare Farm Foods. The show, next Saturday and Sunday, will feature a host of events like a 'bring and buy' poultry event, and roast pig on a spit. Between 15,000 and 20,000 people are expected to attend Munster's biggest agricultural show.
Kristofferson's €60,000 for ISPCC
A concert by singer and songwriting legend Kris Kristofferson at Dublin's Olympia Theatre on Friday night has raised €60,000 for the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC). At Kris Kristofferson's request an unscheduled extra Dublin date was added last week to his current Irish tour with all income going directly to the ISPCC. All the staff of the Olympia Theatre volunteered their duties for free on the night.
