Hi °C | Lo °C THE friend of Nicola's, who was with her on the night she was killed, has told of the anger she feels at her murderer for not taking responsibility for what happened.
The friend, who cannot be named for legal reasons, gave emotional testimony of her friend whose "bright future" had been cruelly taken away. "I feel so angry that he took her away from me and her family and that he isn't taking any responsibility for the life that he took, I am just so angry," she said of Richard Hinds (19).
"Nicola was the most kind and generous person I have ever met," the young woman said. She told how she was unaware of an assault in the taxi until police told her they had seen video footage. "It would be too traumatic to see someone doing something to me I didn't want them to," she said, explaining her reasons for not viewing the footage.
