Two American tourists were airlifted from the Co Antrim coast after they were stranded overnight.

The two men had planned to walk around Fair Head when they were reported missing.

A major cross-border search operation ensued involving the Coast Guard helicopter from Sligo.

They were missing for twelve hours before they were airlifted by helicopter at 4am.

The two men, both in their 20s, suffered cuts, bruises and minor exposure.
