Airports have reopened in Ireland and the UK

Flights to and from Ireland have started again with Dublin airport reopening before lunch.

Cork and Shannon are both still operating normally.

Flights from Waterford and Galway are expected to restart at 6pm and Sligo and Knock airports are due to reopen at 9pm.

North Atlantic flights which pass through Irish airspace have not been affected by the ash cloud.

As of 1pm, all airports in Northern Ireland reopened.

Several Scottish airports, including Edinburgh and Aberdeen, remain closed.

In England, London's Heathrow, Gatwick and London City airports have all reopened but are still experiencing some flight restrictions.
