Hi °C | Lo °C RTE 'Morning Ireland' presenter Aine Lawlor brought some unexpected 'joie de vivre' to the station, writes Ken Sweeney.
Finishing up a pre-recorded interview with reporter Richard Downes, Lawlor (inset) was heard telling RTE's Washington correspondent, "Fantastico. Talk to you darlin'."
But within seconds she had put her hands up to tell listeners: "You weren't supposed to hear the ending of that."
An RTE spokeswoman told the Irish Independent: "Aine's final words to Richard at the end of the interview were due to be edited and in the rush coming up to air, they weren't. However, it shows how friendly and warm Aine is, whether on or off air."
