The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors have recommended its members accept the Labour Court recommendations on garda pay.

As a result, there will be no industrial action during the month of November.

The unanimous decision was made at a meeting of the AGSI's Central executive committee.

The group released a statement today, saying that it will hold an information seminar for its 31 Branch Committees on Monday, November 21 in Athlone, after which it will conduct a ballot of its 2,080 members.

There will be a final result due in early December.
